The Copenhagen Post website reports that a shooting outside a mosque in the Vesterbro district of Copenhagen today (August 30, 2011) has killed a 21-year-old man of Pakistani origin. Two other men were seriously injured in the incident.

The shooting -- which occurred immediately after the end of prayer service celebrating the end of Ramadan -- was part of a conflict among young men in the Pakistani community.

According to police reports, a scuffle between two groups of young men broke out as the congregation of about 1,000 people left the building.

Some 20 shots were fired in the incident, which also resulted in a second man being shot, and a third stabbed.
