Exclusive: Jackie Kennedy Felt LBJ Killed Spouse; New Tapes Just Released Reveal Jackie's Theory

Sensational tapes recorded by Jackie Kennedy -- within months after President John F. Kennedy's assassination -- reveal that she believed Vice President Lyndon B. Johnson was behind the 1963 assassination of her husband, the Daily Mail (British) website reports today (August 8, 2011).

In the tapes -- released ahead of schedule by her daughter Caroline -- Kennedy reveals her belief that Texas-born Johnson and a conspiracy of Texas tycoons orchestrated the murder of her husband by gunman Lee Harvey Oswald.

Kennedy -- who later became Jackie Onassis -- claims on the tapes that the Dallas murder was part of a larger conspiracy to allow Johnson to become American President in his own right.

The tapes were stored in a sealed vault at the Kennedy Library in Boston with orders from Mrs. Kennedy that they were to remain secret for 50 years after her death.

Now -- 17 years after her mother died of cancer -- daughter Caroline has decided to release the tapes to the ABC network which will air the tapes, in exchange for agreeing to cancel its planned Kennedy drama series which upset Caroline and the Kennedy families.
