The home of a Swedish Jewish politician, who has been the target of anti-Semitic harassment, was set on fire last night in what his community is calling a hate crime, the JTA (Jewish Telegraphic Agency) website reports today (October 10, 2018).
The incident occurred in the southern Swedish city of Lund.
The targeted person, who wishes to remain anonymous, is a lay politician with Jewish roots. He has had death threats mailed to him and has been mailed hate speech online, according to the Jewish community.
No one was hurt, but the blaze resulted in extensive damage to the property.
