U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said yesterday that the migrant caravan headed for the U.S. would be stopped, the Washington Free Beacon website reports today (October 24, 2018).
A group of some 7,000 Central American migrants -- mostly from Honduras -- is making a thousands-mile journey through Mexico to the U.S.
Pompeo said that "the migrant caravan is violating Mexico's sovereignty..." and "will not be successful at getting into the U.S. illegally."
He added, "President Trump will not stand for this to happen to the United States."
