There is a growing support for al-Qaeda among some groups of disaffected African-American converts in inner-city areas across the U.S., the Clarion Project website reports exclusively today (October 31, 2018).
In some areas, Muslim worshipers are asked to make financial donations to causes in African nations. Clarion Project intelligence analysts believe that some of this cash finds its way into the hands of terrorists.
Cities where al-Qaeda's popularity is on the rise include New York, Chicago, Philadelphia and heavily-populated areas in California and Texas.
Al-Qaeda perceives the American government as launching a war against Muslims, and for Osama bin Laden and his followers that was sufficient to follow the Quaran call to fight those who fight you.
