Study: Women Tend to Be Happier Than Men; Women Spend Twice as Much Time on Housework

The Big News Network website reports today (May 23, 2012) that a new study reveals that women spend less time on the job, are better educated, live longer, and are generally happier than men.

But women still spend more than twice as long as men doing housework, the study shows.

The study -- conducted across 34 countries by the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) -- indicates that Australia is ranked as the world's happiest nation.

Although men report slightly better health than women overall, they still lag behind women in life expectancy by a full six years, according  to  the study.
