The Copenhagen Post website reports today (July 25, 2011) that a teenage argument over a girl ended fatally last week, when one 13-year-old boy pulled out a knife and stabbed another 13-year-old boy to death in the Danish town of Sonderborg.
The former friends were surrounded by a group of teenage witnesses when the fatal stabbing occurred on the evening of July 20. They were fighting over a girl whom they both had dated and liked.
"They apparently arranged over the Internet -- on Facebook or something similar -- to meet on the field and fight it out, because they were angry with each other," deputy assistant commissioner Hans Roost of the Southern Jutland Police told the news media.
A group of 12- and 13-year-olds -- including the girl they were fighting over -- were gathered around to watch when the fight turned deadly.
