Israel Publishes a "Blacklist" of BDS Groups; Covers 20 Groups,Bars Members from Israel

The Strategic Affairs Ministry in Israel published a list of organizations yesterday that it says promote the boycott of Israel, and that it will block members of these groups from entering the country, the Times of Israel website reports today (January 8, 2018).

The "blacklist" covers some 20 groups the ministry said are part of the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement against Israel.

"We have moved from defense to attack," the Strategic Affairs Minister Gilad Erdan said in a statement that listed the 20 groups.

He added, "Boycott organizations need to know that Israel will act against them and will not allow [them] to enter its territory in order to harm its citizens."
