Dutch Co. Takes No Action on Anti-Jewish Slur; Frank House: "Place Where Jews Earn Money"

Amsterdam's public transport company GVB said today (August 22, 2012) that it will not be taking any action against two tram workers accused of making derogatory remarks about Jews, the Dutch News website reports.

The two were accused of making the comments close to the Anne Frank house, where the teenage girl lived in hiding during World War II.

According to the complainant, the two said the popular tourist attraction is "the place where Jews earn money."

In a statement, the GVB said it "took the complaints very seriously" and emphasized that such comments do not meet the company's norms and values.
