The Europe News website reports today (April 5, 2012) that the late Libyan dictator Colonel Muammar Gaddafi raped countless women -- including his female bodyguards -- during his years in power.
German broadcaster RTL (Radio-Television Luxembourg) is set to screen a new documentary on this situation -- which includes interviews with Gaddafi's inner circle -- on April 9.
Reporter Antonia Rados said: "There were many women in Libya spellbound by Gaddafi who wanted to meet him. And when they did, he raped them."
Luis Moreno-Ocampo -- the prosecutor of the International Criminal Court in The Hague, Netherlands -- said there was evidence that Gaddafi had instructed his troops to rape women who had voiced opposition to his regime.
