Azerbaijan Allows Israel to Use Its Air Bases; Iran's Neighbor Aids Israeli Path for Bombing Iran

The Christian Broadcast Network website reports today (April 1, 2012) that Israel will use airbases in Azerbaijan when it attacks Iran's nuclear facilities, according to a U.S. senior official.

Azerbaijan Borders Iran and would make any military strike much easier because Israeli jets would not need permission to fly over other Middle East nations.

"We're now watching what Israel is doing in Azerbaijan. And we're not happy about it," the senior official said.

Iran is expected to complete its nuclear facilities within the next few months -- unless they are bombed by Israel before they are completed -- but an imminent Israeli attack on Iran has been discouraged by U.S. President Obama. Obama -- who appears to be more concerned about his reelection than Iran's nuclear facilities -- has asked Israel to wait until after the U.S. presidential elections in November before attacking Iran, but Israel has rejected that idea, because Iran is expected to complete its nuclear facilities well before November.
