President Donald Trump said today (June 7, 2019) he has suspended plans to impose tariffs on Mexico, tweeting that the country "has agreed to take strong measures" to stem the flow of Central American migrants into the U.S., according to the AOL website.

"I am pleased to inform you that the U.S. has reached a signed agreement with Mexico," Trump tweeted tonight.

He added, "Tariffs scheduled to be implemented by the U.S. on Monday [June 10] against Mexico, are hereby indefinitely suspended."
