Having canceled a retaliatory strike against Iran last week after it shot down a U.S. drone, President Trump now says Iran deserves strong economic sanctions, The New American website reports today (June 25, 2019).
In fact, Trump unleashed a tweet today threatening Iran with "obliteration."
Iranian President Hassan Rouhani called the sanctions "outrageous" and "idiotic."
Today, Trump tweeted, "Any attack by Iran on anything American will be met with great and overwhelming force and obliteration. No more John Kerry and Obama!"
