U.S. President Donald Trump hinted today (June 20, 2019) that the U.S. may launch an air strike against Iran in retaliation for Iran shooting down a U.S. Navy drone, according to the RT website.
The U.S. military insists the drone was in international waters, while Iran claims it was over Iranian land.
"This was an unprovoked attack on a U.S. surveillance asset in international airspace," said Captain Bill Urban, spokesman for CENTCOM (Central Command).
Asked today if the U.S. was considering a retaliatory strike against Iran, Trump told reporters at the White House, "You'll soon find out."
