US UN Rep. Making a List,Checking It Twice; Going to Tell Trump Who's Naughty and Nice

President Trump will be watching a vote in the United Nations General Assembly "very carefully," and has asked his ambassador to the UN, Nikki Haley, to "report back on those countries who voted against us," Haley wrote in a letter sent to scores of countries, the CBS News website reports today (December 20, 2017).

Haley also sent a tweet warning the U.S. would be "taking names" in tomorrow's scheduled vote, which is intended to show a United Nations unified around getting President Trump to withdraw his administration's unilateral recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

Haley's letter was sent to the UN delegations of more than 180 countries. She wrote that the U.S. "will take note of each and every vote on this issue [of the US recognizing Jerusalem as Israel's capital]."

She added, "As you consider your vote, I want you to know that the President and U.S. take this vote personally."
At a Cabinet meeting today, Trump said that countries that vote against the U.S. at the UN may lose billions of dollars in U.S. aid, and he asserted the U.S. is "not going to be taken advantage of any longer."
