In Abbottabad -- the eastern Pakistani city where Osama bin Laden was killed in May -- members of a Protestant church were beaten today (August 16, 2011) for showing a movie on Jesus in a city park.
In addition, angry Muslims smashed the film projector, according to the Catholic Culture website.
Police questioned Father Akram Javed Gill -- the local parish priest -- after he took a friend to the rooftop of bin Laden's compound.
"I learned a lot from that experience," said Father Gill. "Christians cannot afford to get involved in risky situations -- especially after the bin Laden episode."
