The Europe News website reports today (August 23, 2011) that Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad this week urged the worldwide Muslim community -- as well as non-Muslim countries -- to stage a massive participation in the International Quds Day rallies on August 26.
He said that nations can get rid of "the infected tumor of the Zionist regime" (Israel) through mobilizing their beliefs and ideals.
The Iranian president described the city of al-Quds in the occupied Palestinian land as "the key point in resolving historical issues."
He expressed hope that this year's Quds Day rallies lead to "the elimination of the Zionist regime and freedom of mankind from evils."
