In an effort to destroy Israel, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad this week urged the worldwide Muslim community -- as well as non-Muslim nations -- to stage massive participation in the International Quds Day rallies on August 26, 2011.
Having an obsessive hatred for Israel, Ahmadinejad said that nations can get rid of "the infected tumor of the Zionist regime" by mobilizing their beliefs and ideals.
He also expressed his hope that this year's Quds Day rallies lead to "the elimination of the Zionist regime and freedom of mankind from evils."
If Ahmadinejad really wants to free mankind from evils, the first thing the Iranian tyrant must do is resign his position as president of Iran. The fact is that most Iranians did not vote for him in Iran's last presidential election, but he "won" the presidency only because he rigged the vote count.
To refer to Israel as "the infected tumor of the Zionist regime" conveys Ahmadinejad's lack of finesse and his ignorance of international relations.
Unless he is a total idiot -- which he very well may be -- Ahmadinejad must realize that his goal of destroying Israel is unrealistic.
Israel had very little difficulty in defeating several Arab nations in the Six-Day War of 1967, and to conquer much Palestinian land from that brief war that it has retained to the present day. Moreover, Israel has become stronger -- not weaker -- since the Six-Day War.
Ahmadinejad is probably making these hateful epithets of Israel for shock effects on the international community. But the international community -- including the Muslim community -- is not paying much attention or responding to the Iranian president's anti-Semitic rants.
Indeed, the leaders of the nations of the world are ignoring Ahmadinejad's hateful rhetoric on Israel because they know that his rhetoric is insane.
