Convicted serial killer David Berkowitz -- who killed six people and wounded seven others in New York in the late 1970s -- will not seek parole during his next opportunity in May, Berkowitz told Fox News exclusively in a two-page letter.
Berkowitz -- nicknamed the "Son of Sam" -- wrote he has "no interest" in parole thanks to forgiveness by Jesus Christ.
Berkowitz, 58 -- who has been in prison since 1977 -- wrote to Fox News: "I am already a free man...Jesus Christ has already forgiven and pardoned me, and I believe this."
He is serving six sentences of 25 years to life at the Sullivan Correctional Facility in Fallsburg, NY, where he has been incarcerated for 34 years.
