A conservative Christian organization has once again called on consumers to boycott JC Penney, as a result of the retailer's decision to feature talk show host Ellen DeGeneres in their Christmas TV commercial, the Irish Central website reports today (December 8, 2012).
Last February, the group One Million Moms -- which is part of the American Family Association -- objected to the award-winning host being appointed as JC Penney spokesperson because she is a lesbian.
Once again, the organization is calling on their members to boycott the department store after she was featured in their Christmas ad, alongside three Christmas elves.
"Christians must now vote with their wallets. We have contacted JC Penney's several times in the past with our concerns, and they will not listen. They have decided to ignore our complaints, so we will avoid them at all costs," the One Million Moms statement said.
