Prague Archbishop Cardinal Dominik Duka welcomed around 300 homeless, elderly, refugees, disabled, lonely, and those from the margin of society at the Christmas dinner staged by the Sant'Egidio community at his Prague Castle on December 25, the Prague Monitor website reports today (December 27, 2012).
Duka wished all of them to have at least some joy in their hearts despite all of their trouble and cold, and to have the courage to come to terms with the difficulties surrounding them.
"Let God give you the feeling that He is with you and help you find your place," Duka said, blessing all of them and drinking a glass of champagne with them.
All the guests received traditional Czech food as well as Christmas sweets and fruit. Moreover, every guest received a special Christmas gift and some clothing.
