At Least 10 Killed in an Airport Attack in Pakistan; Taliban Claims Credit for the Attack in Peshawar

At least 10 people were killed and more than 40 others injured when an airport in Pakistan's northwest city of Peshawar came under attack last night, the Muslim News website reports today (December 16, 2012).

Those killed included five attackers. Pakistan's Taliban has claimed responsibility for the attack.

Both Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Ashraf condemned the attack.

The attackers -- who used an explosive-laden vehicle -- rammed the vehicle into the wall surrounding the Bacha Khan Airport in Peshawar.
