Unilever-- a multi-billion dollar global company -- will launch the world's first toilet academy next year in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, the Cybercast News website reports today (November 27, 2011).
Unilever says it will open the academy as a first step in combating the sanitation problems caused by the 2.6 billion people around the world without access to toilets.
Keith Weed -- chief marketing and communications officer at Unilever -- said, "We know that better sanitation saves lives, which is why we at Unilever have committed to sustainably improve sanitation through the Domestos Toilet Academy program."
Unilever -- which employs some 167,000 people around the world -- is a $5.2 billion business that owns Dove, Lipton, VO5, Knorr, and other companies.
