The Christian Broadcast Network website reports today that this Sunday (November 13, 2011) Christians around the world will gather in honor of the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church.
The Voice of the Martyrs said the day is to "focus our prayers on the thousands of Christians around the world who are persecuted and martyred for their Christian faith."
The persecution watch group developed outreach kits for churches wanting to hold special events for the day of prayer.
In the United States, some churches plan to show a video about Padina -- an Iranian woman who left Islam for Christ after making a phone call to a Christian television show.
