Three Men Rob Vicar at Historical German Church; Armed Men Get Vicar's Wallet, PIN to Credit Card

The Big News Network reports today (July 23, 2012) that three armed men robbed the vicar of a church listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Germany.

George Kirchmeir -- vicar of the Wies Church in Steingaden, Bavaria -- said he awoke last Saturday night to two gun barrels pointing at his head.

The 73-year-old vicar said two masked men demanded his wallet, access to a safe, and the PIN to his credit card, as a third man waited outside.

The robbers chained the vicar and a 51-year-old church employee to a radiator and drove to an ATM to withdraw cash using the stolen credit card. Police have surveillance footage of the three men at the ATM and are investigating the robbery.
