More than 70 refugees have been injured and hundreds left without shelter after a huge fire broke out at a detention center in Greece between Pakistani and Afghan migrants, the Euro News website reports today (June 2, 2016).
Reports from the incident on the Greek island of Lesbos suggest each party had specific grievances.
The Afghans were accused of acting like "mafia" to try and control the center, while the Afghans accused the Pakistanis of theft and sexual harassment.
The center -- formerly a refugee camp -- is for migrants who have been refused residence in Greece, and are awaiting passage back to Turkey as part of the EU (European Union) deal struck with Ankara.
