The CNN website reports today (March 8, 2012) that Pakistani authorities have started legal proceedings against three widows of former al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden for entering Pakistan illegally and forgery.
The women are in the custody of Pakistani authorities, Interior Minister Rehman Malik said.
Pakistan told U.S. officials last year that three wives of bin Laden -- who was killed in Pakistan by U.S. forces last year -- were living in the country.
The widows have already been presented in court and are now in custody, Malik said.
