UK Plans to Give Benefits to Terror Suspects; Helps Those Investigated, Dropped by Police

The British government is planning to give rent subsidies and other benefits to terror suspects, the Clarion Project website reports today (November 1, 2017).

The plan -- called Operation Constrain -- will target 20,000 extremists previously investigated by the British government for possible terrorist links.

The scheme -- set to begin next year -- will focus only on "persons of interest," who were investigated by M15, Britain's secret service, but then dropped from surveillance.

Police and social workers would contact them and determine what assistance -- including job training, a rent subsidy, priority for state-owned housing, etc. -- would be most effective, and what to provide.
