The Church of Sweden has decided to make some changes on how clergy refer to God the Father, the CBN News website reports today (November 27, 2017).
The church's 251-member board voted recently to end terms like "He" and "Lord" and use the more gender-neutral term "God."
According to the board, these changes will go into effect in May of 2018.
"Theologically, we know that God is beyond our gender determinations; God is not human,"church head Archbishop Antje Jackelen said in defending the Church of Sweden change.
