Anti-Semitic Posters Found at Univ. in Canada; Swatikas,"True Heroes of WW2" Posted at UBC

Officials at the University of British Columbia (UBC) in Vancouver, Canada say pro-Nazi posters have been found at the school, The Star (Canadian) website reports today (November 14, 2017).

Philip Steenkamp, UBC's vice president of external relations, said in a statement that the "disturbing" posters were discovered on War Memorial Gym on November 11. The university was hosting Remembrance Day ceremonies in the gym that morning.

Photos of the posters show images of swastikas and Nazi troops with the words "the true heroes of WW2."

B'nai Brith Canada issued a statement condemning those who put up the posters. "Once again, we see anti-Semitism and neo-Nazism raising their ugly heads at a B.C. university," said Michael Mostyn, Chief Executive Officer of B'nai Brith Canada.
