Human rights are being violated in Libya as the migrants who are trying to reach Europe through North Africa are sold at the slave auction for about $400, the Inquisitr website reports today (November 19, 2017).
They are sold to buyers for manual labor or farm work as shown in an investigation.
CNN investigators searched this modern-day slavery and witnessed the actual slave auction in Libya. They saw that dozens of people were being auctioned in the space of six or seven minutes.
This is the fate of some desperate migrants who are trying to escape their countries -- like Nigeria -- looking for peaceful and green pastures in Europe. On the other hand, they were victimized by these mean smugglers in Libya, who just wanted to make money regardless of the inhumane way they did so.
