Youth Plan Protest at Moscow's Serbian Embassy; Oppose Belgrade's Gay Parade Set for Oct.10

On Sunday, October 10, 2010, Orthodox young believers will voice their protest at the Serbian embassy in Moscow against the permission to hold the gay parade in Belgrade on that day.

"Demonstrations and rallies of perverts with no other aim but public propaganda of impudence and 'alternative morals' have become a customary symptom of the Western society disease," the picket organizers' statement reported today (October 7) to the Interfax-Religion website.

The statement goes on to say that Serbian government President Tadic -- in an effort to join the European Union (EU) -- believes that holding such a parade "is an essential feature of the 'civilized European society.'"

Tadic plans to march in Belgrade's gay parade.
