Jehovah's Witnesses Refuse Blood Transfusions; Eighteen Die in Russia, Could Have Been Saved

The Interfax-Religion website reports today (October 29, 2010) that refusal of the Jehovah's Witnesses to receive blood transfusions has killed 18 people -- including eight children -- in Russia.

Two criminal cases on children's deaths have already been initiated -- one in Kogalym and one in Moscow.

The mother of the child who died in Kogalym told doctors, "Blood is not a medicine. People only get infected from blood."

This woman could be sentenced to a year in prison, but most likely will be fined instead.

  1. Interesting no one is ever sentenced to anything when a blood transfusion directly kills them.

  3. PS: The writer is also assuming blood would have been the cure. Often they claim this when the would have likely died even with blood and their chances of continual live would be directly in jeopardy from the blood and it's complications.
To force blood not only un-scriptural but archaic.
And abiding by Gods laws and standards is vital.
    Interesting that some "spiritual leaders"
Will encourage save your own skin no matter what it takes or what Gods laws you may break.
Wonder what they would have told the Christians in the Bible when they could have compromised their beliefs and escaped going to the lions dens.
