WikiLeaks Fugitive Assange Arrested in London; Sought by US for Releasing Classified Documents

WikiLeaks co-founder Julian Assange has been arrested at the Ecuador embassy in London, ending his seven-year asylum spell there , the Euro News website reports today (April 11, 2019).

He appeared today at Westminster Magistrates Court, where he was found guilty of skipping bail. He will be sentenced at a later date.

Assange was dragged out of the embassy by police yesterday after an extradition request by the U.S.
