The Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said today (April 13, 2019) that Israeli airstrikes hit three targets in Syria, wounding 17 Syrian soldiers, according to the World Israel News website.
It said there were also deaths, but it was not immediately clear how many were killed and how many were Iranians.
It added that the strikes targeted military facilities as well as a missile development center in a village near Masyaf and a nearby military base run by Iran-backed fighters.
Iran is a close ally of brutal Syrian dictator Bashar Assad and has sent thousands of fighters from across the region to help his forces in the ongoing eight-year bloody civil war that has torn Syria apart.
