President Donald Trump tweeted today (March 5, 2019) that Democrat Rep. Ilhan Omar's newest remarks about Israel mark a "dark day" for the Jewish state, according to the AP website.
Some Republicans and Jewish groups are pressuring Democrats to remove Omar from the House Foreign Affairs Committee.
"Representative Ilhan Omar is again under fire for her terrible comments concerning Israel," Trump wrote... "A dark day for Israel."
Last month, Omar suggested on Twitter that members of Congress are paid by the American Israel Public Affairs Committee to support Israel. Trump said Omar should resign from Congress for that remark.
