New York police today (March 16, 2019) arrested a 24-year-old man in the shooting death this week of reputed New York City Mafia boss Francesco "Franky Boy" Cali, and he will face murder charges in New York, according to the USA Today website.
Officials identified the man as Anthony Comello and said he was in custody in New Jersey pending extradition to Staten Island.
"The investigation is far from over," NYPD Chief of Detectives Dermot Shea told reporters.
Shea said police were still working to determine the suspect's motive and whether he was working with or for other people.
