"March for Life" Expects Record-Breaking Crowds; Pro-Life Activities Will Be Held in DC on Jan. 25

Pro-lifers are heading to Washington, DC by the busload for activities to promote life. While the 40th anniversary of the Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion is Tuesday, January 22, the annual "March for Life" will be held Friday, January 25, the One News Now website reports today (January 21, 2013).

Spokesperson Jeanne Monahan -- who serves as president of March for Life -- says this year's event promises to be a huge success, with record-breaking crowds.

"Our hotels sold out a month in advance of when they normally sell out, and we're just seeing different markers, both in media requests and also in that groups like Students for Life of America sold out a month in advance of when they normally sell out," Monahan said.

Several members of Congress will join in the ranks as the March for Life ends up on the steps of the Supreme Court, which legalized abortion 40 years ago in ruling on Roe v. Wade. At least 55 million children have died in the womb since then.
