A three-judge commission has decided unanimously that Stacie Halas -- a California science teacher fired after students learned she had appeared in pornographic movies -- cannot return to the classroom, the Newser website reports today (January 17, 2013).
She had hoped to set a precedent for people wanting to escape an embarrassing past, but the judges said Halas, 32, was continually deceitful about her past.
Halas was fired last April, after her online porn videos were discovered by students and teachers, although her attorney said she did not star in pornographic movies while she was teaching in any district.
He added that she took porn roles only between 2005 to 2006 because of financial problems.
