Theme Park Denies Lesbians Family Ticket Rate; Says Family Card Is Only for Mother, Father, Kids

The Austrian Times website reports today (July 19, 2012) that a lesbian couple were refused a family ticket to a theme park, despite having two children.

Klagenfurt's Minimundus miniatures world denied the couple -- who had the correct paperwork showing they are cohabitating partners -- the reduced entrance fee set aside for two adults and two children, saying lesbians were not eligible for the family discount under tax laws.

Instead, the two women had to buy two single adult tickets and two children's tickets.

Minimundus boss Hannes Guggenberger defended the decision, saying the family card was only for father, mother, and two of their own children.

  1. It is the right of Minimundus to determine the fees/rates. However, you can be sure they will be sued by Gay-Lesbian-Transgender-Bisexual activists.
