The New York Post website reports today (June 1, 2012) that a married high school teacher -- accused of having sex with a 16-year-old student -- was released from jail this morning, after she posted a $10,000 bail.
Erin Sayar, 36, has been charged with eight counts of rape and criminal sexual acts, along with multiple counts of sex abuse, child endangerment, and marijuana possession.
During a short hearing, Judge Kevin McGrath set Sayar's bail and issued an order of protection for her under-aged paramour, Kevin Eng.
Prosecutors say Sayar -- who taught English at Brooklyn's James Madison High School -- plied Eng with pot and had intercourse and oral sex with him eight times between December 7, 2011 and early January 2012, while she was supposed to be tutoring him.
