Cleveland Church Holds Mock Trial of C. Anthony; Ends in "Hung Jury" as 8 Vote Guilty, 4 Not Guilty

A mock trial of Casey Anthony's court case -- held as part of a Cleveland church's Sunday worship service -- ended in a hung jury yesterday (July 17, 2011), according to the Christian Post website.

Twelve church members who attended in Touch With Christ Christian Center in Cleveland, Ohio were chosen as "jurors." The "judge" was Associate Pastor Una Keenon, who is a retired municipal court judge in the community of East Cleveland.

"Would it be better for Casey Anthony to go to death row and be killed for killing her child when she didn't? ... 'No, it is not fair,'" Keenon told the mock-jurors and congregation.

Eight of the jurors said "guilty," and four said "not guilty," and this resulted in a "hung jury."
