Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) tore into Fidel Castro from the Senate floor yesterday, suggesting the former Cuban atheist dictator is in hell, The Hill website reports today (December 1, 2016).
"He has departed for warmer climates," the Texas Republican said. "This brutal dictator is dead."
Cruz -- one of the Senate's three Cuban-American senators -- compared Castro to Nazi Germany's Adolf Hitler and Soviet Russia's Joseph Stalin.
"They also tortured and assassinated opponents," Cruz said. "They built concentration and extermination camps and eradicated all liberties, committing the worst crimes against humanity."
