Suspect Nabbed for Fatality at Cath. Care Home; Believed He Worked at the France Home in Past

A 47-year-old man today (November 26, 2016) was arrested and charged with murder after a woman member of a staff was killed by a masked intruder at a care home for retired missionaries in Monferrier-sur-Lez in the south of France on November 24, according to the Independent Catholic News website.

The alleged murderer is an unemployed former paratrooper and father of two children.

A spokesman said there was no evidence to suggest the attack was terror related. It is believed that the man had worked at the home in the past.

After receiving an emergency call from the home on November 24, police found a 54-year-old woman had been tied up and stabbed to death, and set up a manhunt in the district surrounding the home.
