Ohio State Attacker Posted Angry Facebook Rant; Anger at Muslim Torment Conveys Terror Motive

An Ohio State University student -- who was angry at the way Muslims were treated around the world --  has been identified as the suspect behind the gruesome attack yesterday on the school's Columbus campus, the USA Today website reports today (November 29, 2016).

The attacker, Abdul Razak Ali Artan, was shot dead by police, but not before driving a car into a group of people and then attacking victims with a butcher's knife.

Eleven people were injured, but all are expected to survive. Artan, a Muslim, was born in Somalia and was living in the U.S. as a permanent resident.

Investigators found a message he posted on Facebook before the attack in which he expressed anger about the treatment of Muslims around the world, conveying that the attack was most-likely terrorist-driven.
