An Israeli airstrike killed four ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq and Syria) fighters in the Syrian Golan Heights today (November 27, 2016), according to The Daily Beast website.
The airstrike was called after Israeli troops came under fire in the region. No Israeli soldiers were injured in the attack.
The militants were believed to be members of the Yarmouk Martyrs Brigade, which the U.S. considers to be a terrorist organization and which has pledged allegiance to ISIS.
Parts of the Golan Heights are controlled by Israel, seized from Syria in a war in 1967. The Israeli soldiers were on their side of the border when the ISIS fighters shot at them.
