An Ohio man accused of trying to join the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) has been arrested while trying to fly to Libya, the CBS News website reports today (November 8, 2016).
The federal prosecutor in Columbus, Ohio says Aaron Daniels was taken into custody yesterday at the John Glenn Columbus International Airport after a month-long investigation.
After his arrest yesterday, Daniels admitted he was attempting to fly overseas to join jihad.
U.S. Attorney Benjamin Glassman said Daniels wired $250 to now-deceased ISIS operative Abu Isa Al-Amriki in January.
