UK Pulls Most of Its Troops Out of Afghanistan; British PM: Troops Not Meant to Be Permanent

 U.K. Prime Minister Boris Johnson said today (July 8, 2021) that most British troops have left Afghanistan, the Daily Caller website reports. 


"The international  military presence in Afghanistan was never intended to be permanent," Johnson told the British Parliament. 


"All British troops assigned to NATO's mission in Afghanistan are now returning home," he added.
