High Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg Dies; Known for Fighting for Women, Minority Rights

Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who ascended from a working class Brooklyn neighborhood into a pivotal liberal role on the nation's highest court, died today (September 18, 2020), according to the NY Daily News website.


"Our nation has lost a jurist of historic stature," said Chief Justice John Roberts Jr. today.


Ginsburg was known for fighting for the rights of women and minorities.


She was nominated to the nation's highest court in 1993 and served on it for the next 27 years.
