One American Is Killed in Spain Terrorist Attacks; At Least 14 Killed, 100 Injured in Spain Terrorism

The State Department said today (August 18, 2017) that at least one American was killed and one was wounded in terrorist attacks in Spain yesterday, according to the USA Today website.

A fourth person was arrested today and five suspects were shot dead following the van attack in Barcelona and car attack in the resort of Cambrils that killed 14 people and injured more than 100.

The suspects in custody are three Moroccans and one Spaniard.

Spanish authorities said the dead and injured -- mostly tourists visiting Spain -- come from 24 countries.
